Bangladesh Cyclone Appeal

Thousands of people in Bangladesh have been killed and hundreds of thousands more left without food or shelter by Cyclone Sidr.

Houses, crops and livelihoods have been devastated and many sources of drinking water are now contaminated. The international Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement is providing clean water, emergency shelter and basic healthcare in to those in desperate need.

Taz (Tasleem Shakur) is fasting from 20th November until 8th December 2007, in aid of the Bangladesh Disaster.

£1.50 will feed a child for approximately 1 week, but any amount WILL make a big difference.

To sponsor Taz call into his office in Natural, Geographical & Applied Sciences: Location: G 19.

Or call/email him to pledge an amount to extension: +44 (0)1695 584551, email: shakurt@edgehill.ac.uk
